If cleanliness is next to godliness...

... then we are godesses indeed. Our apartment is very clean. Very, very, very clean, like on the verge of compulsory and somewhat obsessively clean. And those of you who have lived with me in Denver or know the level of cleanliness my mother upholds know that I am no stranger to cleaning. In fact, I like it when things are clean. But in this household I am (believe it or not) the slob - the one leaving dirty dishes in the sink for more than thirty-five seconds, and the one who ends up never taking out the trash (there is just no trash to take out!). I find this highly amusing. One problem that this extreme cleanliness causes, however, is that since we wash our dirty dishes before they go into the dishwasher, it is very hard to tell whether what is in there is actually clean or not.... So today, when I got home, my highly organized roomate had made two little notes that stuck to the dishwasher with a mangnet - one that said "dirty" and one that said "clean". Problem solved :o)

(Samboerne mine er så renslige av seg at vi må vaske tallerknene før de går inn i oppvaskmaskinen... derfor har vi to små lapper på den, slik at vi vet om det som er inni er skittent eller rent, ettesom det er helt umulig å se på dem :o)

So now the only somewhat messy place in the apartment is likely to be my room... but I think I am doing a good job so far keeping it nice and orderly?

(Rommet mitt, slik det etterhvert har blitt. Seng, bokhylle, nattbord, bøker, og bilder på veggene... rent hjemmekoselig! Jeg mangler gardiner, men det får kanskje vente til mamma kommer på besøk)
